AnnaB, yes, you must have a Society approved UL listed cart. Standing there with literature in ones' hands is so Uncool and Untheocratic. This is not what the Governing Body is directing. Only approved UL Governing Body carts can "hold" literature. The angle of the eyes is all wrong if a human holds it in their hands at or below face level. Potential Jehovah's Witnesses should not have their head held so high as to the literature in a man's hand. All Jehovah's Witnesses that hold their head up that high to see literature in a man's hand are not subordinate or submissive to the Governing Body. This should be corrected without delay.

What is the current pulse in the organization with the reductions?
by SouthCentral ini have not seen jehovah’s witnesses in my neighborhood for several years now.
it appears that the cart witnessing has taken over.
congregations are being consolidated and witnesses are being forced to travel a greater distance than before.the burdens/privileges of elders seem to be ever increasing!.

Zombie dubs
by lastmanstanding ini recently was on a job with the cobe and i would like to relate this experience.
it goes to show how unthink these zombies have become.. during working, the cobe asks me “did you see that couple that died in the eritrean prison, the brother and his wife?”.
i replied that i had not seen anything like that.

Lastmanstanding, the Cobe wife was baiting you hoping that you would agree with her and then she would have a story to tell her husband.

JW-RUSSIA.org cross image
by neat blue dog ini was just browsing the russian jw site and saw this image that appears to represent christian persecution by showing handcuffs in front of prison bars that appear to form a cross.
which would be weird because they don't even believe in the cross, or maybe it was clip art from another source and they didn't notice.
or last and most likely i'm seeing things that aren't there 😜.

Why does a prisoner need handcuffs chained to the bars while inside a prison cell? Unless it was like this in the Three Amigos I could understand.

Wow. I guess we all can agree upon the lies that Watchtower has told throughout the years.

Remember the Wife of Lot
by Addison0998 infor family worship last night, our family watched remember the wife of lot movie since it will be discussed in the meeting this week.
there’s a few things i noticed that i didn’t think about last time i watched it.. first, the dad is very of course against his daughters going to college or even trying to find a good job.
yet he does accounting, which is a very good job that almost always requires a college education.

I've been successful in getting my family out, although wifee and myself divorced. My daughter is attending a UNIVERSITY studying the trade of Bio-Chemistry. She is very smart and while reading this post I was reflecting that if I hadn't set the lead to get out, she could be pioneering this year. This is a real blessing from Jah.

Compare the behavior of Sears to Watchtower!
"Selling off assets to make up for sales and revenue shortfalls would become standard operating procedure for the chain over the next five years, but in 2012, then-CEO Lou D'Ambrosio probably had no idea that the worst was yet to come."
In the article
Here's How Far Sears Holdings Has Fallen in 5 Years (https://www.fool.com/investing/2017/07/10/heres-how-far-sears-holdings-has-fallen-in-5-years.aspx)
The retailer has been getting smaller and shedding assets with few signs it will right its ship.

Where does Sears stand now?
In five years, Sears has gone from $9.3 billion in Q1 sales to $4.3 billion. It has also seen its store count drop by more than half, not counting its now-sold Canada operation. When 2012 began, the company had 1,305 Kmart stores and 867 full-line Sears stores in the U.S.
Five years later, at the close of Q1 2017, the company had just 626 full-line Sears and 624 Kmart locations. It has also sold off its Craftsman brand and countless real estate assets and plans to close 72 more stores by September.
In addition, at the end of Q1 2012, Sears had a cash balance totaling $784 million and inventory of $8.8 billion. Five years later, at the close of Q1 2017, the company had $3.7 billion in debt, a number that's exactly the same as its total liquidity and liquid assets.
In five years, Sears has gone from $9.5 billion in cash and inventory, not to mention now sold-off assets like Craftsman, to a total value of $0. That's a stunning decline made worse by the fact that profitability seems no closer than it did five years ago.
What's next for Sears Holdings?
While Lampert remains optimistic that a turnaround remains possible, Sears' only successes have been in turning its assets into cash. Sales dropped by $1.1 billion year-over-year in Q1, and Sears stores saw a 12.4% decline in same-store sales while Kmart's fell by 11.2%.
There's no reason to believe that any of that will change before Sears runs out of money. The company also runs the risk that its vendors will stop shipping merchandise or demand payment up front, which would effectively put it out of business.
Sears has lots of ways to go bankrupt or be forced to close and few to save itself. The company has put up a mighty struggle, but dwindling assets and sinking sales are a deadly combination that it likely cannot recover from.

Have they stopped writing new magazines?
by asp59 ineven if the world and organization(not for better,)change a lot from the 80s.
the watchtower articles seem exactly like the one we study in the ,80s.
there's a zombie feeling to them.

I think they are winding things down intentionally and want a smaller organization..uhm ...company. They ran the thinking and compassionate people off years ago. They still have a tax exempt status that requires continuing as long as there is cash or fixed assets with value. With all the older ones dying off there are plenty of inheritances left to plunder and then they can liquidate their kingdom halls to support themselves.

Little Gems From the November 2018 Study Watchtower
by The Fall Guy inquickly glanced through it and noticed these bits of "food at the proper time.
i'll leave the lap-dancing comment on page 25, par.
12 and the "how to give us more money" item on pages 28,29,30,31,32 for others to pick up on... page 16, par.

* Lap dancing is defined as “an activity in which a
usually seminude performer sits and gyrates on the
lap of a customer.” Depending on the facts of an actual
situation, this could constitute sexual immorality
requiring judicial action. A Christian who has taken
part in such activity should seek help from the
elders.—Jas. 5:14, 15.Lap dancing bad could require judicial action. Pedophilia needs two witnesses for us to deal with it before we sweep it under the rug and destroy evidence.

Forgiveness
by Freedom rocks inif someone does the same things over and over again and says sorry and then does it again and you point out that their apologies don't mean anything anymore, then they accuse you of not being forgiving enough, who is in the wrong?
(i mean as in constantly over a long period of time).
im trying to work out whether it was just part of the persons mental/ emotional manipulation tactics or whether i have the wrong view and i'm not forgiving enough.

If this person weighs you down, get some new friends. You shouldn't put up with that, they're psychopaths.
